After flash floods engulfed the village of Coverack in July 2017, Porthgwara Nursing Home suffered significant flood and storm damage. We were appointed by the client as contract administrator, liaising with insurers and loss adjusters to specify and manage the repairs.

The project included re-roofing, internal repairs and refurbishment and re-landscaping the damaged gardens. Before the roofers could begin, we also had to carry out ground stabilisation works to support the scaffolding and prevent any more landslips.
Throughout the project it was vital that the home remained open with minimum disturbance for the elderly residents, many of whom couldn’t be moved without risk to their health. Meticulous coordination meant that the project has reached a successful conclusion and the residents have their beautiful home back.
